PROJECT BACKGROUND
In 2019, restaurant dining in Tahoe was thirsting for something new. We were approached by our friends from Truckee Tavern and West River Hospitality Partners to create a resourcefully dynamic culinary experience to celebrate “the love of eating.”
A collaboration of local artists, designers, and makers from the Reno-Tahoe area, Roco, albeit short-lived, was a culinary fusion concept designed to artfully combine Tacos and Ramen into a sensational experience paying homage to California’s mission trail, and the image if the ancient samurai of Japan.
Launched right before the worldwide pandemic, Roco quickly evolved into Como when indoor dining activities were halted. Como has become a simplified rendition of the original concept sharply focused on Mexico inspired street tacos and cocktails.
